"Active responders.
Real experience."
Licensed, credentialed EMT staffing for events of every scale across Raleigh-Durham and the broader NC market — active first responders who do this work every day, not certification holders who show up once a month.
An EMT certification confirms someone passed a test. An active EMT is someone who responds to real emergencies right now. That difference is the entire premise behind how Guardian staffs every event.
Guardian EMT staffing is a complete event medical service — not a body deployed to stand in a corner.
Staffing levels depend on attendance, event type, venue layout, and risk profile. This table provides a starting framework — we'll refine it during the consultation based on your specific event. See the full Event Medical Coverage Guide for detailed guidance.
| Attendance | Minimum Coverage | Recommended Coverage | Common Event Types |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 500 | 1 certified first responder on-site | 1 EMT + first aid station | Private events, corporate gatherings, small concerts |
| 500–2,000 | 1–2 EMTs + first aid station | 2 EMTs + dedicated communications | Community events, mid-size concerts, outdoor festivals |
| 2,000–5,000 | 2–3 EMTs + first aid station + response plan | Medical team (3–4) + rapid response capability + crowd management coordination | Large festivals, sporting events, multi-stage events |
| 5,000+ | Medical coordinator + staffing plan required | Multi-zone coverage with team lead, multiple stations, EMS liaison | Major festivals, stadium events, large public gatherings |
Outdoor and indoor shows, multi-stage festivals, touring productions. High attendance, alcohol, heat, and crowd density all factor into coverage levels.
Athletic competitions, endurance races, tournaments, and spectator events. Participant medical needs differ from crowd medical needs — we plan for both.
Company gatherings, product launches, conferences, and team events. Professional coverage that operates discreetly and integrates with your event flow.
Fairs, parades, block parties, holiday events. Mixed demographics including families and elderly attendees require specific coverage considerations.
Weddings, private parties, and invitation-only gatherings. We scale to fit — even smaller events benefit from having a qualified responder on-site.
Recurring daily coverage for multi-day festivals and events. We coordinate staffing continuity across the full event schedule.
From first contact to post-event debrief, here's what working with Guardian looks like.
We gather event details — date, venue, attendance, type, and any special considerations. We confirm staffing levels and build your coverage plan during this conversation.
We walk your venue before the event. Station placement, AED locations, EMS access, ingress/egress review — all documented before day-of.
Team arrives at load-in. Equipment staged, communications confirmed, response plan reviewed. In position before your first attendee arrives.
Incident documentation delivered. Debrief with event lead. Notes filed for future coverage if the event recurs — nothing resets.
Tell us about your event and we'll build a coverage plan — staffed by first responders who practice this work every day, not just on event weekends.
